Bourne To His Rest, Soldiers Of The Queens Division Carry King Richard III To His Reinterment

The present day Queen’s Division is drawn from the former fiefdoms of those who fought for King Richard III and includes the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers and the Royal Anglian Regiment. It was two soldiers from each of these Regiment’s that acted as the Bearer Party at the service held at the Cathedral. Leicester city based reservists from 2 (Leicestershire and Lincolnshire) Company, 3rd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, acted as step-liners.
