The Duke of Sussex has joined the Duchess of Cambridge at an Anzac Day service in Westminster Abbey.
Prince Harry gathered with his sister-in-law Kate on Thursday afternoon to honour the sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand forces. Harry’s last-minute addition, suggested his heavily pregnant wife, Meghan, was not due to give birth soon, although the baby is due any day now. Harry and Kate were joined by the Queen’s cousin the Duke of Gloucester, for the annual Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving.
The Duke of Sussex’s older brother, Prince William, started a two-day visit to New Zealand by attending an Anzac Day memorial service. The traditional church service in London incorporated an Act of Remembrance, the Last Post and the words of modern Turkey’s founder Kemal Ataturk from Anzac Cove, read by the Turkish ambassador to the UK.
