Getting Involved

ExForcesNet is a community and the platform has been developed to support that community in the delivery of advice, organising of events and any other way you want to engage and support.  Here are some ideas, but please contact us at if you have others:

Advocates – ExForcesNet has a small management team that are concentrating on the building of the community and support to deliver value as far and wide as we can.  To achieve this, we will require the support of Advocates who are able to share ExForcesNet with their personal networks and help us to build out and share that value.  If you are interested in knowing more, then please contact us at

Events – The Events Page has on it events of interest to the Community.  If you want to organise an ExForcesNet event, a unit re-union, a networking event, or just notify us of an event you think will be of interest, then please email us at

Partnering – ExForcesNet is looking for Partners in Recruitment, Services, Training and Information.  If you work for an organisation and want to bring something to the Community, then please email us at or call us on 0844 443 3011.

Unit News & Events – If you want to report on some activities or events, then please contact us at

Blogs – ExForcesNet is looking to seek Blogs and News from all our members on any subject that is pertinent to the Community as well as posting from some of our network on useful subjects.  If you want us to post your Blog or News, then please email us at

Stories and Experiences – For many, the journey of Transition is a very “lonely” path.  The reasons are simple; we have our own experiences, our own achievements, our own aspirations, our own family and all the preceding for them too…  This is a complex mix to resolve.  However, if we share our experiences, then there will be elements that resonate with other people.  Through this, we can support each other, and recognise that we are indeed, NOT alone.  Contact us at

Mentoring – If you have skills and time that you are able to share, then please consider signing up to Mentor some of our members.  Take on as much or as little as you are able, and deliver value through your experience back to those that are following in your footsteps.  Learning from those that have done, rather than those that “teach” has a greater value gain.  Supporting people in avoiding the pitfalls we have found is a positive and virtuous circle. If you are interested then please contact us at

This community is YOUR community – and without wishing to usurp the words of an American President, Ask not what your Community can do for you, ask what you can do for your Community!
