VC Winner Honoured With A Plaque On 100th Anniversary

Brigadier General Campbell’s actions, bravery and initiative were remembered with a special Victoria Cross commemorative paving stone being laid in Victoria Embankment Gardens, at the heart of the city in which he was born. He rallied his troops using a hunting horn, which was sounded again for the ceremony of dedication
