UN Launches New Aid Effort in Norther Iraq

The UN is launching a major effort for humanitarian assistance to those displaced by the conflict in Northern Iraq. Nearly half a million people have been forced to flee their homes, becoming refugees.

Supplies will be sent in via airlift, road convoy’s and sea shipments via Turkey, Jordan, the UAE and Iran.
