A Civilian Court In Jordan Finds Qatada Innocent

Radical preacher Abu Qatada, the subject of a near decade-long battle by the UK government to be deported to the Middle East to face terrorism charges, has been acquitted in a Jordanian court.

On Wednesday, the court in Amman ruled there was insufficient evidence against Abu Qatada. His defence lawyer, Husein Mubaidin, said he expected his client to walk free within hours.
